Days in Wyoming

We moved to Wy in January. You would think there'd be lots of snow, but we've had only about 4-5 inches total since we got here! The temperature has been very low at times, as in -23 degrees actual temp, and the wind chill was -50 below, but all in all it's been great.

The Ranch that we live on runs about 700 head of cattle. Calving season starts in a few weeks, and James or I will be up all hours of the night checking on the cows and first time calvers. FUN!!

If I want to go to a grocery store I have to drive about 35 - 45 minutes, and most of it is gravel or dirt road. The closest Wal-mart is in Cheyenne, and that's 1 1/2 hours away ;) We made it a month without going into Cheyenne, and we're gonna try to do 2 months :) Never thought I'd say that, did you?

I was happy to find out that Cheyenne has lots of the same stores I'm used to in IN. They have a Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Ross, Chick-fil-A (in the mall and it's the only one in the state!), and lots of other places. Of course, Hobby Lobby is by far my favorite! :)

We really like our little church. We are going to LaGrange and it's about 45 minutes away. Our pastor is Jon Norwood. He is married to Sarah Durr and they have 4 children. Our church is Bible Missionary. It's actually the church that James' great-grandpa Hegwood started years ago, and where Grandma & Grandpa Fulton were married!

If you want to see pics, you'll need to go to my facebook page, I'm having difficulty getting pics uploaded on this blog. The link is to the right of this blog.
