We have 2 new pigs! I surprised James by going to an auction and bidding on Janie, a york guilt. We won the bid, so he went to pick her up last Weds. I do not have a pic of her yet, but I do have a pic of Shelby, our crossbred guilt. Janie looks like the pigs in the pics here. We sold several pigs and were able to get her. We are excited about our possibilities this year :)
Thankfully, God has helped us to sell several of the pigs, and we still have several more to go.
We have 9 Angus heifers that we will be breeding soon. James likes to do all the breeding AI, so we don't have to rent bulls or anything. He likes to determine the bloodline and genetics, so we'll have better beef stock.
I am including a pic of our Hereford cow. She is looking good, and had a little bull calf, Crossbow, a few months ago. He's looking great! James wants to show him in some open shows soon. James is a show fanatic! He thrives on getting animals ready for show. I can hardly stand to be around him when we're getting ready to go in the ring sometimes. :) He gets SOO bossy :)
Oh, well! Guess that's why he's won some of the trophies, or plaques.
