It's over....

Wow! What a weekend! Business, crowds of people, food stands, Christmas Tree Shops, Music, and lots of other things that we can't go into right now. Old Fashion Day was a big success. We don't have everything tallied yet, but we do know that it brought in a lot more than last year.

Anyone who's never been to UBC for Old Fashion Day should come next year. It starts with a breakfast of Biscuits and Gravy then a parade, in which all of the classes and organizations of the school and college participate. The different floats are judged and the winners of each category wins $50.

After the parade there are lots of interesting things. This past weekend we had a couple people from both the Republican and Democratic parties there. They each spoke for a few minutes about the office they are running for and then we had special music by the Quartet and I sang "Let Freedom Ring" accompanied by the orchestra. It was fun.

We also have a car auction and then a misc. auction during the afternoon. The day ends with hay rides and hot chocolate. It is loads of fun and everyone should have the chance to enjoy it.

Now that the weekend is over, everyone is trying to catch up on sleep and some of us are a little grouchy :) Hopefully we all get caught up really soon!

Oh, by the way....if you could pray for me....I'm looking for a part-time job and have put in several applications. Please pray that I can find one that is willing to work with my schedule at the school and choir tours, etc.

Also, the Smarts are in need of prayer right now. Matt is leaving in the morning for FL. Sis. Smart is not doing well at all and he wants to spend some time with her before she goes to Heaven. Please pray for Bro. Smart, also. He is going to be really lost.

Okay...enough talking for now.....Keep smiling!
