Wedding News

Well, today my youngest brother got married! It's very hard to believe that he's old enough to be married. I can remember when he was born, it's not right! Oh well, guess life happens, right? Anyways...it was a very pretty, simple wedding. It only lasted 15 minutes from the time the bridesmaids walked down the aisle, and there were 2 songs. I did all the music, sang, and Fletcher and I sang "When God Made You," the song made popular by New Song and Natalie Grant. He did a good job, but you could tell he was nervous. There were 3 groomsmen and 3 bridesmaids. Wesley was the Best Man, Rhonda (Diane's sister) was Maid of Honor. Justin Curtis, Ryan Linch, Renae, and Kelly Smeltz were the others in the wedding party. My dad performed the ceremony. He also did a good job, as it was his first time to officiate at a wedding.

The predominate color was Lilac, but there were cream and purple accents. They decorated the reception with those colors and even had Hershey kisses that were wrapped in their colors. It turned out very pretty.

I guess it makes you think about how quickly life really does go by when you see someone you love take another big step in their life. At first I told Fletcher he couldn't get married until I do, because "the oldest is supposed to get married first." :) He didn't think that was a good idea, because as he said, "I'd be waiting forever, cuz your NEVER getting married!" I wasn't too happy that he said that, but guess I'll have to prove him wrong, won't I?!

Everyone have a great Valentine's Day!

Hi Kim,
It was quite a surprise to find your blog! Trust you are doing well, and great to hear about you teaching at UBC.
Interesting news about the wedding, too. My sister Dorcas is getting married this summer, July 1.

Kim,
Hey you. Great to see your blog. It's been a while since we have heard from you. I'm going to be in IN for the HIS sing on March 3. If you could make it to that it would be great to see you. You can check out my blog at mccartysblog.blogspot.com. Joel also has a link to it on his blog.
Take care,
Aaron
